Legal
Terms & Conditions
Effective: 10 March 2026 · Version 1.0
Important: Section 5 (Prohibited Uses) specifically prohibits reverse engineering of our methodology library. Please read it carefully before using the API.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the NameWonders platform, API, or any related service (collectively, "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and NameWonders. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use following any changes constitutes acceptance.
2. Description of Service
NameWonders is an AI-powered brand naming engine that selects from 500 proprietary naming methodologies to generate, score, and evaluate brand names. The Service operates on a credit-based model. Credits are consumed per API request as specified on the Pricing page.
3. Credits, Payments & Refunds
Credits are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. Trial credits are issued on signup. Purchased credit packs do not expire.
Payments are processed by Razorpay. NameWonders does not store payment card information.
4. Intellectual Property — Methodology Library
The 500-Methodology IP Library is the sole and exclusive property of NameWonders and constitutes a registered trade secret. The library includes all methodology descriptions, selection rules, prompt fragments, scoring heuristics, and related logic.
You acknowledge that: (a) method IDs and names in API responses are provided for reference only; (b) methodology descriptions, selection logic, and AI prompt instructions are not disclosed and remain server-side only; (c) you have no right, title, or interest in the methodology library.
5. Prohibited Uses
You expressly agree NOT to:
(a) Reverse engineer the methodology selection logic, scoring algorithms, or cultural DNA pipeline from API outputs or any observable behaviour;
(b) Make structured or systematic sequences of API requests designed to map, reproduce, or infer the content of the 500-Methodology Library;
(c) Use outputs to train, fine-tune, or develop any competing AI naming system, methodology library, or naming intelligence platform;
(d) Scrape, crawl, or systematically download any portion of the Service beyond normal usage;
(e) Share, sublicense, or resell API access without a separate B2B agreement.
Violation may result in immediate account termination and legal action.
6. Ownership of Generated Names
Generated names are licensed to you for commercial use, subject to your own trademark searches and registrations. NameWonders does not guarantee registrability, availability, or non-infringement of any generated name.
You are responsible for conducting your own trademark searches and legal due diligence. The methodology intelligence that produced a name remains NameWonders intellectual property.
7. Data Usage
NameWonders retains the right to use anonymised, aggregated session data — including intake parameters, method selection patterns, and scoring correlations — to improve the methodology library and engine performance. No personally identifiable information is included.
8. API Access & Fair Use
API access is rate-limited to 10 requests per minute per authenticated user. Attempts to circumvent rate limiting through multiple accounts or technical means are prohibited.
B2B API access is subject to a separate commercial agreement. Contact hello@namewonders.com for enterprise terms.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NameWonders's total liability shall not exceed the total credits purchased by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
NameWonders is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages including lost profits, lost business, or reputational damage arising from use of generated names.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
